Binding twitter account with looniesdesk

You will be able to track your spendings and earnings directly from your twitter account. To do this, write 

follow ldesk

 from your twitter account. You will get a connection code which you have to enter under your looniesdesk account, or you can just follow the link you will be provided with.

 

 

By default all your transactions fall to Payments panel. You can define behaviour of twitter gate more precisely. Going to http://www.looniesdesk.com/twitter.html will provide you with this ability. You can decide which panel will get twitter's messages and it is possible to choose panel within message (specified after < sign, see below).

 

Two twitter accounts can send data to same looniesdesk.com account but to different panels, e.g. your wife can track spendings into "Family budget" only and your twitter sends data to "Payments" by default and you can change it with "<" sign in a message.

For track earnings and spendings send a direct message in format:

d ldesk SUM1 describe_SUM1, SUM2 describe_SUM2 … [##global_tag] [@@global_contractor] [ < panel]

SUM - is amount of payment

describe_SUM -  is text about what the payment is for with optional contractor and tags specified

Ex:

d ldesk 15 burger, 5 cola

 

You can mark payments being tracked with tags, to do so define tags after description with "#" sign

Ex:

d ldesk 15 burger #fastfood, 5 cola #drinks #fastfood

 

You can define global tag or tags applied to every payment specified in query. To do so specify such tag after two "# "signs.  So previous example can be written as:

d ldesk 15 burger, 5 cola #drinks ##fastfood

 

To add more global tags add them with "#" sign as  usual tags, 

Ex: 

d ldesk 15 burger, 5 cola #drinks ##fastfood #global_tag2

 

To define a contractor put the name right after description following by "@" sign

Ex:

d ldesk 15 burger @cafe, 5 cola @cafe

 

You can specify a global contractor applied to every payment in the query (exactly like global tags), define them after all payments with two "@" signs

 

Ex:

d ldesk 15 burger, 5 cola @@cafe

 

If some payment has contractor defined then a global contractor does not overwrite it

 

Ex:

d ldesk 5 cable car @muni , 15 burger, 5 cola @@cafe

In this example three payments defined, first one goes to muni and rests go to cafe.

 

You can mix tags and contractors of course. Keep in mind contractors should be placed before tags. 

Ex:

d ldesk 5 cable car @muni #transport , 15 burger #fastfood, 5 cola #fastfood #drinks @@cafe ##San francisco trip

 

 

You can specify which a panel to write to, override default settings (if this action is allowed under looniesdesk  twitter settings)ю To do so specify a panel's name after "<" sign after all text.
